Research Interests
  • Isolation techniques for background autofluorescence
  • Extreme wavelength laser integration to flow cytometry (<350nm and >750nm)
  • Carbon based semiconductor dye conjugate development
Research

Continued management and resource management development of the Siteman Cancer Center High Speed Sorter Core Laboratory, established in 2001.

Current projects include:

  • Adaptation of FACScan flow cytometers to three laser, 8 color capable analyzers, replacing analog processing paths with fully digital, and software with post acquisition compensation control.
  • Further development of model organism parallel cell sorters in order to enhance analysis sensitivity and sorting purity. This sorter for strictly model organisms has four sort modules within a single chassis.
  • Continued GMP process cell sorting and protocol development from an existing Biological Safety Cabinet parallel sorter having been used for human cell sorting since 2007.
  • Data management for files acquired on analyzers or sorters that involves a centralized private server that stores data acquired since 2001.
