Research

My research focuses on developing cellular immunotherapies for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and related myeloid malignancies. A central goal is to identify and functionally validate cell-surface antigens on leukemic blasts and stem cell-enriched populations that are minimally expressed on normal hematopoietic cells, thereby improving the specificity and safety of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies. By integrating patient-derived samples with preclinical models, I aim to design more precise and durable immunotherapies for patients with high-risk myeloid malignancies.

My previous studies on the tumor microenvironment and bone marrow biology have provided a strong foundation for my current interests in hematologic malignancies. As an Instructor in the DiPersio laboratory, I look forward to applying this expertise to therapeutic target discovery and translational research to improve treatment strategies against AML and other myeloid neoplasms.
