Research

My principal role is to participate and design novel translational research clinical trials focusing on patients with Hematologic Malignancies and Myeloproliferative Neoplasms within our combined Leukemia and BMT program in the Division of Oncology at Washington University. Apart from the multiple trials active at the Siteman Cancer Center I served as P.I. and co-P.I. on Phase I and Phase II AML, MDS, Lymphoma, GVHD, BMT Stem Cell Mobilization Treatment and Supportive Care Clinical trials. I have a focus on clinical trials in CML (Bosutinib, Asciminib), and in collaboration with Dr. Stephen Oh (Hematology) have focused on novel therapies for Myelofibrosis, and combined epigenetic therapy and targeted therapy (JAK inhibitors) to bridge MDS/MPN patients to allogeneic stem cell transplantation with a goal to minimize graft failure and acute GVHD in MF. I am the P.I. on a novel radiolabeled anti CD45 antibody to optimize allogeneic SCT in relapsed refractory AML patients (Sierra Phase 3 Trial of Iomab-B). I am involved in patient care and teaching of residents and fellows rotating in Oncology.
